February 21-27, 2016 is Eating Disorder Awareness Week at the University of Michigan! University Health Service, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Active Minds, and the Body-Peace Corps have planned a week of events to promote positive body image, prevent eating disorders, and to reduce the stigma surrounding eating disorders on the University of Michigan campus. Eating disorders are serious, life-threatening illnesses - not choices - and it's important to recognize the pressures, attitudes and behaviors that shape the disorder.
Please join us as we host a variety of events around campus to raise awareness about the dangers surrounding eating disorders:


Sunday, February 21, 2016: Hashtag Kick-off

Beginning Sunday evening, we will start a Twitter hashtag campaign to share stories of hope, recovery, and inspiration. Tweet with us at #EDUM!

Body Peace Corps members will be posting body positive post-it notes across campus; take a picture of or with one and tag us on Facebook or Instagram to be entered to win a prize!
